Recognized August 17, 2026
A loose, gestural brushwork impulse first surfaced in The Sunset (1994), painted at the actual origin site of the OG Oil Paintings series. That freedom was not sustained continuously — it resurfaced only intermittently over the following decades, notably through palette-knife experimentation — before combining for the first time with an already-established precise method (A Colorful History) in Berlin 1911-2011 (2022), a synthesis the artist calls 'glitch style' rather than a straight-line continuation.
